Experience

I rode a horse for the first time when I was 4 years old, my mother was my first teacher to approach horses with love, she taught me the respect and value of them, to take care of them and how to ride them creating a connection with horses that would mark my life for forever.

When I was 7, I received my first formal riding lesson where I improved my balance and made my first jump in competitions with a wonderful woman named Olga Pavan Venezolana.

When I was 10, I was already riding horses in various equestrian sports, rodeo, jumping, tailed bulls and some family ponies, I learned to take care of them and the value of good health from the hand of my veterinary relatives, helping me with my equestrian training.

I went to the university where I studied Journalism from 2005 to 2008 and Lawyer from 2009 to 2011. It was not related to my passion for horses but if they would make me the integral professional that I wanted to become, maintaining myself in all these years in team penning competitions always in the first places teaming up with my family and friends.

In 2014, already exercising my professional career, I decided to start my own business combining my manual qualities with my passion for horses and so I created my first collection that I called Cowgirl Couture. I remember they were small bracelets with horseshoes, figures of Horses in MDF, and headbands with horse fabrics which little by little grew in designs and clients.

In 2015, I did the course on biomechanics and equine training; where he learned the relationship with the natural functioning of the horse's bones, the equestrian mechanics related to its artificial functioning due to the presence of a rider on its back.

In 2018, I did the online course on equine health and behavior, acquiring communication knowledge and equine learning bases and the transforming link that is generated between human and equine.

In 2020, I did the action seminar and assisted therapies with horses at the Mexican institute ICPAC, where I was trained from equine ethology by Lucy Rees for the management of horses, and their best performance in any field of action, the correct synchrony between person and horse, the art of self-knowledge prior to working with equines, the ethological evolution between human and equine.

In 2021, I completed my certification. This certification allows me to assist horses therapeutically from the hands of FUNDAZOO Venezuela. I practiced face-to-face and I learned to analyze the therapeutic principles of Equine therapy. To add, I practiced applications in different types of patients, to develop their own body awareness and refine their skills. Equestrian, understanding and applying the correct biomechanics of the Saddle Seat and its therapeutic scope.

I acquired advanced knowledge about the selection and training of horses for therapy and equestrian sports for people with disabilities, the basic knowledge of Anatomy, Neurology and Human Physiology. I learned the basic principles of Physiotherapy, I explored and found the different clinical pictures and the benefits that can be obtained through horse-assisted therapeutic practices.

Today, I have a community on Instagram with more than 23 thousand followers. This plate form allows me to share all my knowledge and tips for others who love horses. I hold my very own, “let's talk about horses" live stream, every Thursday. Each week, I interview horse lovers and athletes from Latin America recognized in the world of horses. I learn from their experiences with the possibility of asking questions from my community.

I manage my personal blog from my website and I will continue designing accessories inspired by horses and the equestrian world. At the same time, I offer my basic care services for horses: Basic Grooming, Bathing, Body Clipping, Stall Cleaning Service, Barn Touch Up, Barn Deep Cleaning, Ground Work, In Saddle Riding and While you're away.

Horses in Company - by Lucy Rees is an in-depth study of the social interaction and hierarchy of horses in the wild. The book discusses how the characteristic behavior of the herd has developed in response to the natural selection pressures in their evolution, namely that horses are prey animals and not predators, and how this governs the behavior of domestic horses living together.

Lyons on Horses - In John Lyons’ twenty-nine years of experience in horse trainer–instructing, he has become recognized as “America’s Most Trusted Horseman.” Each year for the past thirteen years, nearly 10,000 horse handlers from all over the world flock to Lyons’ horse-training clinics to learn from the man whose step-by-step methods have reared some of the most talented trainers, clinicians, and teachers. Lyons on Horses is the book version of these sought-after clinics; in it, Lyons leaves no stone unturned on the path toward understanding your horse. From his philosophy on horses to facing fear, and from saddling and arena work to trail work, leading, and trailer loading, Lyons guides trainers of all skill-levels and riding styles through his trusted lessons.

Horse Brain, Human Brain - In this illuminating book, brain scientist and horsewoman Janet Jones describes human and equine brains working together. Using plain language, she explores the differences and similarities between equine and human ways of negotiating the world. Mental abilities—like seeing, learning, fearing, trusting, and focusing—are discussed from both human and horse perspectives. Throughout, true stories of horses and handlers attempting to understand each other—sometimes successfully, sometimes not—help to illustrate the principles.

Horsemanship of every kind depends on mutual interaction between equine and human brains. When we understand the function of both, we can learn to communicate with horses on their terms instead of ours. By meeting horses halfway, we achieve many goals.

The Horse's Mind - A practical book offering new insights into the working of the horse's mind. It explores the reasons behind the horse's natural likes and dislikes, fears and habits, showing how their love for company has led to a sensitive and complicated use of signals. The "bad" behaviour of horses, says the author, is due to misunderstanding on our part, and to their being kept in natural conditions that cause them stress and unhappiness. She offers an approach to training and dealing with "problem" horses that uses the horse's natural behaviour and encourages harmony and great communication between horse and human. This book show anyone can learn to make a horse happier.

There is no denying that the emotional bond between horses and the humans who love them can reach mystical proportions, and nowhere is that relationship more evident than in these twenty-five true-life accounts of horses rescuing people.

Many of the stories recount incidents where death or physical injury was imminent, and only because a horse intervened are the narrators alive to tell the tale. Other chapters describe that other plane of salvation where contact with a horse through ownership, employment, or a variety of therapeutic programs has restored mental health, peace of mind, and self-esteem.

Narrators include a seventeen-year-old Apache youth whom a horse-rescue project retrieved from drug abuse; a mother whose young son was about to be dragged to his death before the horse recognized the child's plight; a Vietnam veteran with post-traumatic stress disorder whose work with horses keeps him on an even keel; and the owner of a miniature horse that serves as a “seeing eye” guide animal.

As varied as these testimonials are, all share the same conclusion: “My horse saved my life.”
